10-11 June will play host to Britain’s biggest triathlon weekend of the year as the Columbia Threadneedle World Triathlon Leeds returns to the city for a second time.

The two day extravaganza will see triathletes from across the country flock to the city to take part in one of eight multi-sport events, which includes the Triathlon England National Aquathlon Championships, organised by British Triathlon.

The aquathlon takes place on Saturday 10 June, 24 hours before the world’s best line up along the same pontoon to take on the fourth round of the thrilling ITU World Triathlon Series.

Held over a 750m swim / 5km run format, the open water swim will see athletes complete a one loop course within Roundhay Parks Waterloo Lake. That will be followed by a challenging two lap run, held entirely within the grounds of the 700 acres city park.

With Triathlon England National Championship action kicking off at the Thorpe Park Triathlon just a week earlier, the Columbia Threadneedle World Triathlon Leeds represents the second of six events in the calendar. The full list of championship events can be seen below.
