British Triathlon Super Series continues at London Triathlon

Published:

London Triathlon hosts the penultimate leg of the British Triathlon Super Series this weekend on Sunday 3 August.

The top three in the men’s British Triathlon Super Series standings are all racing in London’s Docklands with Mark Buckingham, David Bishop and Iestyn Harrett all on the start line.

Mark Buckingham is fresh from a European Cup win last weekend and has been the most consistent performer this season finishing second in Blenheim and winning the British Elite Triathlon Championships at Windsor. However, its close at the top with only 25 points separating the top three and with 100 points on offer for the win, the overall title is still wide open before the finale of the Super Series at Tri Liverpool on 10 August.

The 2013 British Triathlon Super Series Champion, Tom Bishop makes his return to Super Series racing having missed the first two rounds.

The women’s race mirrors the men’s with each of the top three athletes on the current leaderboard: Emma Pallant, Katie Synge and Lucy Smith are all racing. Emma Pallant is the standout performer so far having won the previous two rounds of the Super Series and her rivals will be looking to make up ground on last year’s Super Series Champion.

Following London Triathlon, all eyes turn to Tri Liverpool on 10 August. The 2014 British Triathlon Super Series Champion will be crowned on an iconic course that takes in some of Liverpool’s most iconic sights including the Liver Building and the Albert Docks.

Tri Liverpool will be one of the highlights of the triathlon calendar this season, however for those that can’t make it to the North West, can watch all the action of British Triathlon’s Live Stream, available via www.britishtriathlon.org
