The 2014 Triathlon England - National Club Relay Championships were held over the Bank Holiday Saturday and Sunday, hot on the heels of the success of the British Triathlon U20's Festival.

The Club Relays have long been regarded as the highlight of the domestic season for many clubs, race teams and triathletes. This year's fast and frenetic relay action certainly did not disappoint, as teams battled hard for national titles and enjoyed the fun of the festival atmosphere in equal measure.

The iconic National Water Sports Centre barely had time to recover after hosting a day of top European Junior action on Friday, and now it was the turn of over 2,000 triathletes, along with friends and family members to descend on mass to enjoy the waterfront facilities at the Nottingham venue.

Teams of four took on the 500m swim in the regatta lake followed by a 15km bike and 5km run, with each team member completing each discipline before passing their wrist band to the next team member. 

The first race of the 2014 Club Relays was the mixed category, with club honours going to Derby Triathlon Club who competed the course in 03:23:47. In the afternoon race, on a day of changeable weather conditions, the quickest team of four females representing the same tri club was Salisbury Triathlon Club in a time of 03:44:38.

On the Sunday the sun shone brightly, which helped provide the unique festival feel to the finale of two days of racing. The quickest club team in the men's race were Wrekin College Juniors who clocked in with a time of 03:12:39.
