Seven triathletes will represent Great Britain at the Burgas ETU Triathlon U23 European Championships in Bulgaria next month.

Whilst Britain’s senior, junior, Paratriathlon and Age-Group athletes have their European Championships next weekend in Lisbon, the U23 event has traditionally always been held separately. The event has seen good successes by British athletes, including wins for Lucy Hall in Banyoles, Spain last year and Gordon Benson in Penza, Russia in 2014.

British Triathlon is sending a strong squad that features Chris Perham and Sophie Coldwell, mixed relay world champions from 2014 in Edmonton. Their experience may be valuable in the mixed relay, which takes place the day after the individual events.
