Your 2014 Trilights

Published:

You may remember back in December, Triathlon England called upon you to share your personal highlights of what was a busy and successful 2014. Well, many of you replied, and here are a few of our favourites...

My highlight this year was competing in the Ironman World Championships in Kona Hawaii. The conditions were brutal and the competition fierce - I wouldn't have had it any other way!
Hopefully in 2015 I will be selected for the GB Age-Group Team at Challenge Weymouth where I can try and do the country proud!
(Joe Duckworth)

A favourite triathlon moment for me in 2014 would have to be standing on the jetty in Edmonton just before the start of the race and swim start. Representing GB in the World Triathlon Grand Final in Edmonton - what an experience!
(Dean Evans)

Hitting the run at the Slateman 2014, my first triathlon!
(Simon Quinn)

My highlight this year was the Liverpool triathlon – completing it in 2:35:25, despite very difficult weather conditions. I also enjoyed Chester, Leeds and the Snowman. Looking forward to 2015 when I will certainly try my first half Ironman challenge!
(Julio Nunez)

My personal highlight of the 2014 session was completing the Kimbolton Triathlon; finishing 10th in the East Region League in my 1st year of competition.
(Scott Carpenter)

Triathlon England also received a great response from Stephen Clark, documenting the highs and lows of his year. Read Stephen’s story here.

We’d like to thank you for your highlights and wish you well on making more memories this coming year!
