The British Age-Group Team was in action at the Weihai ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships in China. Covering a 4km swim, 120km bike and 20km run, the small team returned one gold and three silver medals.
David Patten was crowned world champion in the 60-64 Age-Group, his first ever international Age-Group medal. He won by twenty minutes after overcoming the ocean swim, technical and demanding bike course and multi-terrain run in 6hours 54:57.
Victoria Hill (40-44) and Jeremy Snoad (50-54) also won their first medals whilst Anna Murawska (25-29) added another silver to the one she won at the 2010 ETU Long Distance Triathlon in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Fourth places went to Kelly Stokes (F30-34), Grant Bowdery (M35-39) and Timothy Kelsall (M40-44).
