Hosted by the Challenge Poznan event in Poland, the 2016 ETU Long Distance Triathlon European Championships saw the British squad collect a total of 11 European medals, including three Gold.

Despite an incredibly packed summer schedule of long distance racing both domestically and internationally, the Poznan ETU Challenge Long Distance Triathlon European Championships still attracted a squad of 35 British Age-Groupers to Poland.

The British men were lead home by Benjamin Hall (25-29), who took the Gold medal in his category, while Sarah Leakey (30-34) matched that in the women’s event. Nicola Sommers (25-29) completed the trio of Gold medals earned by the British team.

Sarah was also the second fastest Age-Group athlete overall, while Benjamin was only headed by two Age-Group athletes.
