Overview
A fantastic new addition to the Cycling Festival programme is the ECF Duathlon. Taking place on Saturday 4 June, the race will be HQ’d on the Western lawns in amongst the cycling festival stands, catering outlets, music, registration and lots more. The race is – 2.8km run loop from the Western Lawns westwards, dropping down onto the promenade and return to transition. The bike is the clockwise circuit of Beachy Head, taking in East Dean and Birling Gap so some climbs to contend with before descending back to transition and the repeat run loop. The race will be chip timed, and fully signed and marshalled. The Cycling Festival continues with a TT up to Beachy Head (why not enter both?!) on Saturday evening and plenty of other events and attractions on the Sunday.Eastbourne is a great location for this event, and the setting and course will really make for a great spectacle. Don’t miss it!
