The last race of 2014 put on by the STOCKPORT TRI CLUB. 5km run, 20km cycle ride, 5km run Starting from Poynton Leisure Centre, the run route goes out of the back of the centre and steadily climbs up to the Middlewood Way using the back country lanes. After completing about 1km on this footpath it climbs up to Coppice Wood where it then descends down to the access road and back out onto Dickens Lane back to the school. This contains a combination of terrains. The cycle course is a two lap route once again taking in the quiet country lanes. It goes up into Higher Poynton before cutting across to Booth Green and skirting Adlington. It then follows Shrigley Rd before dropping back towards Higher Poynton. At the end of the first lap there is a laft turn into Waterloo Road, before setting out on the second circuit. The return to the Leisure Centre requires navigation through the estate coming into the Leisure Centre at the front entrance. The second run is a duplicate of the first.
