Competitors enjoyed joyous weather for the OSB event at Clumber Park, after poor weather in March had forced it's rescheduling to the May bank holiday weekend.
On Saturday 5 May, Clumber Park in North Nottinghamshire played host to nearly 1000 duathlon competitors over the sprint and standard distance, with the races a key date on the GB Age-Group calendar for those eyeing up qualification for the 2018 and 2019 ITU Standard Distance Duathlon Championships or the 2019 ETU Sprint Distance Duathlon Championships.
The standard distance was also an opportunity for Triathlon England Home Nation members to compete for a national title over the 10km (run), 40km (bike), 5km (run) format within and around the National Trust Park.
Simon George of Lincoln Tri and Rachel Wiseman of Basildon Athletics Club were the first across the line in both the men's and women's standard distance race respectively as 24 national champions were crowned across 12 different age-group categories.
