A Bank Holiday Weekend at the 2020 Club Relay Championships

Published:

Taking place in Nottingham on 29 August, the 2020 Club Relay Championships will be the penultimate Triathlon England Championship of the year, and your chance to compete as a club.

This unique Championship allows Triathlon England Affiliated Clubs to enter teams and see their members take to the course together in pursuit of collective national glory.

Teams of four will complete a relay with each member swimming one after the other, before the fourth swimmer hands over to the first cyclist and so on until all four have completed their swim, bike and run.

Raced across a 500m swim, 15km cycle and 5km run for each team member, the ‘organised chaos’ of the Club Relay Championships is an event like no other.

With much more to get involved in besides the racing, the bank holiday weekend will provide your club with a great way to draw the summer to a close.

The National Water Sports Centre provides a great vantage point for spectators to cheer from, plus, with opportunities to volunteer at the event, members who don’t want to race can feel part of the action too.

In order to compete for the Triathlon England National Club Relay Championship titles, all four members must be a Triathlon England Core or Ultimate member and registered to the same Triathlon England Affiliated Club.

Triathlon England Members are also invited to create teams where all four are not from the same club to compete for Race Team Championship medals.
