Birmingham 2022 main ticket ballot now open

Open from 8 -30 September, the ballot for tickets for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games is now open with more than one million available at £22 or less.

The Games themselves will take place from 28 July - 8 August 2022 with the majority of the action taking place in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Tickets start from £8 for under 16s and £15 for adults.

With the ballot closing at the end of September, the results from applications will be communicated in October.

Tickets are available to apply for at the 286 sport sessions as well as the opening and closing ceremonies, with triathlon and paratriathlon action taking place on Friday 29 July and Sunday 31 July 2022.

The swim, bike, run action will be hosted in Sutton Park, with the first day seeing men’s and women’s individual triathlon and the second men’s and women’s PTVI paratriathlon and mixed relay triathlon.

Having represented Team GB and ParalympicsGB in Tokyo, the Commonwealth Games brings athletes together to represent their Home Nations, with each one having its own selection process leading to Birmingham.

Sutton Park will play host to swim, bike, run at the Games, with the park one of 14 venues that will see some of the best athletes from around Britain and across the Commonwealth to England for the first time since 2002 and to Britain for the first time since Glasgow hosted the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
