Taking place on the August bank holiday, the National Triathlon Relays will be hosting the fourth Triathlon England Championships of the year and the only one where club members can compete together to win.
The National Watersports Centre in Nottinghamshire will once again play host to the event that is a regular highlight for many clubs and their members.
Teams of four will take it in turns to swim, bike and run, with all four completing each discipline before moving onto the next for a combined team time, with championship medals awarded for teams in different age bands.
Once all four members have completed their 500m swim in the lake, they will move onto their 3 laps of the 5km route around the permitter of the lake and end with a single lap running the opposite direction around the lake.
Being eligible for Triathlon England Championships is a benefit of being a member of Triathlon England. For more information about membership, please click here.
Following last year’s cancellation, 2021 will mark the return of one of the oldest events on the triathlon calendar as the National Triathlon Relays mark their 30th edition this year.
The event has capacity for 225 teams to take place in the morning and 225 in the afternoon, giving plenty of opportunity for clubs to enter teams to battle it out to become national champions.
To be eligible for the Triathlon England Club Relay Championships, all four members of the team must be Triathlon England members registered to the same club, with the registration active at least two weeks before the event.
Teams will need to sign up soon with entries closing on Monday 16 August or once capacity for the event has been reached.
