Environmental changes to Triathlon England membership

In striving to be as environmentally friendly as possible, Triathlon England have stopped sending out plastic membership cards to members as part of a phased approach to reduce the impact of the membership pack.

Instead, the digital membership card that all members can find in their member area on the British Triathlon website will be valid in exactly the same way as a physical one, allowing members to show the card online or a screenshot of it on their phone when registering.

This change has come into place from 1 June 2020 and is one of the initial steps that has been taken to be more environmentally responsible. Work continues with suppliers of the membership packs and gifts to explore the ways in which the impact can be reduced further.

In March 2019, the Triathlon England policy changed meaning that members had to opt in to receive the plastic card. Now, following in the footsteps of Triathlon Scotland and Welsh Triathlon and aligning the Home Nations, no plastic cards will be sent out to members.

Members can access their digital membership card in the My Profile section of their member area, available by logging in through the link below. By uploading a photo to their profile, this photo will also appear on the digital card.
