GO TRI Training Focus: Lifestyles Liverpool

Published:

To help Liverpool locals on their journey into triathlon Lifestyles Leisure Centres organise GO TRI training and events across the city. Read on to find out what sessions they do and how you can get involved.

How long have you been running GO TRI training sessions for?

We have been running theses sessions for close to twelve months now and they are currently held at three different centres throughout the city.

How many people attend each session?

Different centres have varying attendances but we are averaging 12 people for the swim sessions and around 18 for each bike and run session.

When and where are the sessions?

Session times and locations can be found here. These take place in Garston, Ellergreen and at the Liverpool Aquatics Centre

Who is the training aimed at?

The sessions are aimed at anyone and everyone. They are perfect for triathlon novices who want to get started in the sport but don’t want to lay out expense for bikes, wetsuits etc. These sessions can help you to train for triathlon or just general fitness in the safe surroundings of your local Leisure Centre.

How do people book on?

Anyone can book onto the sessions, but customers who buy a Total membership package get the sessions free.

Tell us about your GO TRI events

We ran our first GO TRI event, an aquathlon, last April at the Liverpool Aquatics Centre. We also had 12 members who started GO TRI training last year and went on to take part in the their first ever triathlon in the beginners wave at Tri Liverpool!
