YHA’s 160-strong network of properties is set to be used to host British Triathlon’s GO TRI events throughout England and Wales, encouraging new communities to take their first steps in the sport in some of the county’s most beautiful settings.
As part of the partnership between British Triathlon and YHA (England and Wales) the aim is to provide a number of events available locally across the country through the GO TRI programme. These events are tailored towards complete novices, with low-cost entry and manageable distances.
Following a number of successful pilot events held at YHA sites in the Lake District and Liverpool City Centre last year, a new series of YHA partnered GO TRI events have now been confirmed. As part of events announced there is a number of women's only events with both the YHA and British Triathlon are proud supporters of Women's Sport Week and the This Girl Can campaign to get more women into sport.
