Take a look at what to expect across the country in the world of multisport
Entering its 6th year, this sprint distance event takes participants across a challenging course that culminates in a finish at Blackpool Sands beach. Beginning with a 750m sea swim, participants will then complete a 20km cycle and 5km run. The event will also host supersprint, TriStar 1, 2, 3 and TriStar start.
Newquay Tri: The Goat - Cornish Tri Series – South West
This open water triathlon event takes the three disciplines to three different beaches, hosting beginner friendly supersprint distance and junior races as well as sprint and standard distance racing, all culminating in a race to the finish line overlooking Newquay Bay.
Super sprint, sprint and standard distance triathlon and aquabike races are on offer in Suffolk. The event makes a return for the first time since 2018 and welcomes athletes to take on the same swim venue as Great East Swim, a cycle leg encompassing elements of a Tour of Britain stage and a multi-terrain run to finish.
East Region IRC Selection Trials - East
The East Region IRC Selection Trials for TriStar 2 and TriStar 3 take place this weekend. Athletes will complete a swim time trial for their age group distance which will seed them into a start order to complete the bike and run.
The Sussex Triathlon enters its 9th year as it hosts its first of two events in 2021. Based in Ashburnham Place in East Sussex, this event offers a sprint triathlon and aquathlon races for adults and children.
31st White Oak Tri – South East
A beginner friendly event based around Swanley Leisure Centre that offers both sprint (400m swim, 22km cycle, 5km run) and standard (400m swim, 44km cycle, 10km run).
Set on a privately-owned estate of Staunton Harold Hall, this event welcomes athletes to take part in a lake-based swim, undulating bike course through South Derbyshire countryside and final run through the National Forest at Biggin Wood. Participants have a variety of race options to choose from, with anything from relay to children’s aquathlon on offer.
GO TRI Her Spirit Nottingham – East Midlands
Her Spirit in partnership with British Triathlon are offering GO TRI events at Spring Lakes Water Sports Centre in Long Eaton, Nottingham. With 3 distances to choose from, this event caters for ladies who are new to triathlon and those who have some existing experience. New for 2021 is a mother and child wave where you can take part together and your combined efforts will decide your final finish placing.
A junior aquathlon featuring a pool swim and a grass-based run. Distances available for Juniors (17-19yrs), TriStar 1 (9-10yrs), TriStar 2 (11-12yrs), TriStar 3 (13-14yrs), TriStar Start (8yrs) and Youth (15-16yrs).
A pool-based sprint triathlon featuring a 400m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run at Wombourne Leisure Centre.
Chester Triathlon Club host a friendly multisport event that invites participants to take on either middle distance (1.9km swim, 40km bike, 10km run) or standard distance (1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run) triathlon.
Dorney Triathlon yet again welcomes athletes to the iconic Olympic venue to take on sprint or standard distance racing across flat and scenic grounds.
