Hole Park’s MTB Cross Duathlon to kick off the 2015 Triathlon England - National Championships

The picturesque garden and grounds of Kent’s Hole Park will witness this year’s Triathlon England - National Championships opening event.

The 2015 series will start with a Cross Duathlon race for the first time and will be followed by an exciting mix of events, distances and venues, allowing English members a total of seven opportunities to pick up national honours.
 
The Hole Park MTB Cross Duathlon comprises three separate races and takes place on Sunday, 29 March with the National Championship race being held over the Standard distance of 10km run / 20km bike / 5km run. 
 
Liz King, Event Director for Tri Spirit Events, who are delivering the National Championship opener, said: "The Hole Park MTB Duathlon is the perfect event to be kicking off Triathlon England's 2015 National Championships.  Preparations are in full swing and we are looking forward to welcoming the athletes on Sunday.  With the standard of field being such a high calibre, we are sure to have an action-packed race."
 
To help build upon the growing success and reputation of the Triathlon England - National Championships, live timing is being introduced, starting with Hole Park and a video preview which will be made available exclusively to Triathlon England members.  Details of how to access the video course preview content will be made available online shortly, as will the availability of live timing after Hole Park.
   
Below are the details of the remaining 2015 Triathlon England - National Championships:
 
17 May 2015 - Sprint Distance Championships, Speedy Beaver.
14 June 2015 - Standard Distance Championships, Deva Triathlon.
28 June 2015 - Middle Distance Championships, Grafman Triathlon.
12 July 2015 -  Aquathlon Championships, Falmouth Triathlon.
22 & 23 August 2015 - Club Relays Championships, Nottingham.
4 October 2015 - Duathlon Championships, Oulton Park.
 
Duncan Hough, Director Events, Rules and Technical, looking ahead to the upcoming season, said: “This year will see the Triathlon England – National Championship series build on last year’s success with the inclusion of new venues and event organisers We will also be introducing live timing and a course preview video for Triathlon England members at a number of events. These two exciting additions which will allow spectators, competitors and our members to feel more connected to the Championship action this season.”
