Home Nations line up for Zwift Tri Nations Challenge

Published:

Bringing together members from Triathlon England, Triathlon Scotland and Welsh Triathlon, the Zwift Tri Nations Challenge will provide the opportunity for Home Nation bragging rights to be claimed in this new, fun racing league.

The six-race league will start on Tuesday 11 May at 7:30pm, with a race taking place each month through to October where members can earn points for their Home Nation’s overall total.

The six races will be in a variety of different Zwift worlds and routes, and each race will be competed across the scratch format and comprise distances between 23km and 30km.

The league is exclusive to British Triathlon Home Nation members and there’s no limit to the number of members from each Home Nation who can take part. The first 20 athletes from each Home Nation will earn points towards their nation’s overall total.

Entry is through your Member Area and you will need to select the Triathlon England starting pen to earn points for the English total and race in the English colours. The English starting pen is B, with Scotland in A and Wales in C.

Triathlon England members will be allocated a white racing jersey, with Scottish members racing in blue and Welsh members in red, helping you to distinguish between the nations whilst racing.

Anyone who takes part in the Zwift Tri Nations Challenge will also need to create an account with ZwiftPower to be eligible for ranking points. If you're not already registered you can find out how to register for ZwiftPower here.

Each race will be broadcast live on British Triathlon’s Facebook page, providing non-racing members with the chance to be part of the action.

The league races will take place at 7:30pm on Tuesdays 11 May, 15 June, 13 July, 10 August, 14 September and 12 October.

The league table between the Home Nations will be displayed on the British Triathlon website, showing each nation’s total points and positions through to October when the winning nation will be crowned the Tri Nations Challenge Champions.
