HUUB announced as title partner for 2022 Triathlon England Awards

The countdown to the 2022 HUUB Triathlon England Awards is underway with HUUB announced as the title partner for this year’s national awards which will recognise individuals, clubs and events that have made a difference to the swim, bike, run community in 2021.

HUUB, who are British Triathlon’s Official Wetsuit and Swimwear Partner, will support the event through prizes for the virtual awards ceremony being held on Friday 11 March 2022.

Each year, the Triathlon England Awards recognise and celebrate the hard work of those involved in swim, bike, run who help to make the sport what it is.

Award nominations have been submitted across the awards’ 12 categories including recognising outstanding coaching, volunteers and Technical Officials, and specific awards for events and recognising the work being done in the swim, bike, run community around inclusion and wellbeing.

Each region’s awards committee determine regional winners, with the winners from the 10 English regions going forward to the 2022 HUUB Triathlon England Awards, where the national winner for each award will be crowned.

One of the most prestigious awards is Club of the Year, with clubs playing a central role in the growth and strength of triathlon participation across the country. The ten club nominees and winners of the regional awards are: TriHarman, Nottingham Triathlon Club, Hillingdon Triathletes, North Shields Polytechnic Club, Nantwich Triathlon Club, Phoenix Tri MK, Tuff Fitty Triathlon Club, Torbay Triathlon Club, Stafford Triathlon Club, Humber Triathletes.

One of the new awards added for 2022 is the Outstanding Contribution Award, recognising individuals who have gone above and beyond. The national nominees for the award are: Outstanding Contribution Award: Derek Jones, Stuart Carter, Jan Goble, Michael Dicker, Jon Parkinson, Mel Humphreys.

“Due to the pandemic we’re not going to be able to be all together in one room, but we hope with the support of HUUB that this year’s award ceremony will still be a special night for all the nominees and award winners.”
