With the new year well underway and a competitive season just around the corner, British Triathlon are offering Event Organisers the chance to enhance their skills ready for 2017.
WHAT
You can choose from our refreshed Event Organisers course, which was well recieved during it's 2016 launch, and our newly developed Open Water course, created to increase knowledge and understanding of this aspect of triathlon. Both provide a fantastic opportunity to reflect, learn, network and challenge delivery of triathlon and open water swimming.
The Event Organisers course sound of interest? The 2-day course covers a wide range of topics including project management, course design, health and safety, delivery, post-event analysis, budgets and marketing modules. It brings together both expereinced organsisers and those looking to stage their very first event to share learning, partake in discussions and learn from experts in their field.
The Open Water course covers all aspects of open water swimming including water quality, water safety, course design considerations and practical guidance. The growth and interest in Open Water has developed this course to provoke thought and provide support on safe open water swimming experiences, whether at an event, a club training session or individual training. Piloted in 2016, the course has been rated highly by attendees from all triathlon backgrounds.
I thought the course was extremely well written and delivered by tutors who really knew their field well. They were engaging and tailored support to the individual needs of the group.

Open Water course – 1 day course

Cost: £65 (Home Nations members) £85 (Non-member) - Price includes a buffet lunch and refreshments
