Tempo Spring Duathlon
The Tempo Spring Duathlon at Warwickshire College, Moreton Morrell is a standard distance race around the local village and college campus. Its 10km run, 36km bike and final 6.6km run will take athletes across the rural roads of Warwickshire.
Devon Duathlon
The South West welcomes a number of duathlon events this weekend, including the Devon Duathlon. Formerly known as the Dartington Duathlon, this popular event has taken place annually since 2013 but has relocated this year to Woodbury Common.
This new location creates a separate course for the race’s run sections and offers quieter roads for the cycle. Beginning at Bicton College, the event can be raced as a sprint (5km run, 22km bike, 2.5km run) or standard distance (10km run, 42km bike, 5km run) duathlon.
Bath Duathlon 2021
Also based in the South West is the Bath Duathlon that takes place at the Odd Down Cycling Circuit for the ninth time. With distances available for adults, youths and juniors (1.5km run, 15km bike, 1.5km run) as well as TriStar 1, 2 and 3 with varied cycling distances, the Bath Duathlon has been adjusted this year to allow a time-trial start to ensure Covid-19 safety.
GO TRI Bath Duathlon 2021
The event at the Odd Down Cycling Circuit also features a GO TRI option for those looking for a more accessible event to take part in this weekend. GO TRI’s allow any road-legal bike to be ridden for the cycle leg and this event boasts a 1.5km closed-road cycling circuit, creating a comfortable traffic-free environment to race in.
GO TRI Manchester Airport Duathlon
A second GO TRI duathlon is taking place further north in Wilmslow, Cheshire. One of the most popular GO TRI events available, the Manchester Airport Duathlon welcomes back participants of all ages and skill levels to give duathlon a go.
Organised by the award-winning McA Fitness & Events, participants can take part in one of four waves over the weekend, each one embarking on a 2.5km run, 18km bike and final 2.5km run.
British Triathlon has developed specific Covid-19 requirements focused on the practical implementation of the key government measures of social distancing and increased hygiene. The above permitted events have demonstrated their application of these additional requirements.
