This weekend welcomes the refreshing sight of a variety of in-person multisport activity from GO TRI duathlons to championship qualification events.

Bedford Autodrome Duathlon

The East of England welcomes a qualifying event for the 2022 World Sprint Distance Duathlon Championships. The Bedford Autodrome Duathlon is a non-drafting race that places athletes on the historic Thurleigh Airfield.

The duathlon is available to race as either a sprint distance (5.4km run, 23km bike, 2.6km run) or standard distance race (11km run, 41km bike, 5.4km run), both taking advantage of the fast and flat course. Athletes will transition to the bike in the pit lane and cycle along smooth tarmac before a final run on the track.

Every year, British Triathlon coordinate a series of duathlon and triathlon qualifiers for world and European sprint and standard distance championships. The qualifiers that take place this year will be to qualify for championships in 2022. Find more information on the button below, you can also view the event's livestream here.

Devon Duathlon

The South West welcomes a number of duathlon events this weekend, including the Devon Duathlon. Formerly known as the Dartington Duathlon, this popular event has taken place annually since 2013 but has relocated this year to Woodbury Common.

This new location creates a separate course for the race’s run sections and offers quieter roads for the cycle. Beginning at Bicton College, the event can be raced as a sprint (5km run, 22km bike, 2.5km run) or standard distance (10km run, 42km bike, 5km run) duathlon.
