From 70.3 to standard distance and GO TRI events, the world of multisport has something for everyone this weekend.
An accessible and achievable GO TRI Duathlon, situated in Cheshire’s leafy village of Woodford and featuring a picturesque 10km cycle route, sandwiched between two 2.4km run legs.
Organised by the award winning McA Fitness & Events, Come & Give it a GO TRI is open for all abilities and donates any profits made to Limb Power.
Oulton Park Spring Duathlon
Oulton Park Spring will welcome participants to the famous racetrack where they can take on their choice of super sprint (2.5km run, 12km bike, 2.5km run), sprint (4.3km run, 20km bike, 4.3km run), standard (8.6km run, 38km bike, 8.6km run) or middle distance (10km run, 59km bike, 10km run).
The first round of the Epic Triathlon series for 2021 is the Ulverston Duathlon. Beginning with a 6km run, before making way for a 28km out and back road cycle and finishing with a 2.3km run. This is an ideal event for novices through to elite competitors on the South Lakeland coast.
Taking its name from the number of legs the race features, the Formula 5 duathlon isn’t your typical race. With a run, bike, run, bike and run format, participants will be pushed hard, with each run consisting of 5km and each cycle being 20km, the overall race distance comes in at 55km. Any participant that completes the Formula 5 duathlon will not only have put their transitions to the test but will also take home a medal and event t-shirt.

Beginning with a 2km run, jog or walk along the lakeside, this GO TRI then features an 8km cycle and a final 2km run/jog/walk. A great event to dip your toes in the world of multisport, participants can sign up for just £12.60.
Southampton Fast Twitch Duathlon
New Forest National Park is the scene of the Southampton Fast Twitch Duathlon, welcoming athletes to take on a cycle through Beaulieu and running towards Dibden Purlieu. Open to athletes of all experiences, the event will take place across a 4.5km run, 23km bike, 4.5km run.
Yorkshire invites athletes to a friendly run, bike, run event that caters for all abilities of participants between the ages of 8 – 17. Holmfirth Harriers AC have organised the event, taking place on a closed-circuit with a tarmac cycle and a grass-based run.
Derwent Reservoir will host a brand-new sprint and standard distance duathlon event that features trail paths around the stunning lake and a cycle along open roads. This event is open to people of all abilities, with those who cross the finish line receiving a wooden medal and event t-shirt.
GO TRI Local is for people that are brand new to swim, bike and run and looking to take their first steps in a safe and enjoyable environment. GO TRI Local takes place within the heart of your community; at the same time, on the same date, at the same place, with the same distances every month allowing you to track your progress over time.
GO TRI Local Milton Country Park is a monthly opportunity for new and aspiring triathletes to come and give a duathlon (which consists of run, bike, run) a go in a fun and non-competitive environment, with a fully off-road course enclosed within Milton Country Park.
Those aged 8-14 years old will do 1km run, 2.5km cycle and finish with a 500m run, starting at 9am. Those aged 15+ will do a 1.5km run, 4.25km cycle and finish with a 1km run, starting at 10am.
This Tough Runner UK event is opened to all abilities of athletes, welcoming participants to the Hole Park Estate in Cranbrook to take on their choice of either sprint distance (5km run, 27km bike, 2.5km run) or standard distance (10km run, 40km bike, 5km run).
Due to government restrictions as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Torbay Triathlon Spring will only offer a pool triathlon for junior athletes. That being said, Senior and GO TRI participants will still enjoy the thrill of race day with an afternoon duathlon taking place in the South West.
This event boasts a flat and traffic-free course, with bike laps taking place on the smooth tarmac of the Velopark and running on the grass of Clennon Valley.
The southernmost point of Taiwan welcomes 70.3 racing, with a number of British athletes taking to the coastline and white, sandy beaches of Kenting to battle for one of 50 places in the 2021 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in St George, Utah.
British Triathlon has developed specific Covid-19 requirements focused on the practical implementation of the key government measures of social distancing and increased hygiene. The above permitted events have demonstrated their application of these additional requirements.
