Get to know some of British Triathlon’s elite squad and hear about how they got into triathlon

The Big Reboot Conference shares valuable insight for Triathlon England’s clubs and workforce.

The inaugural Big Reboot Conference presented by Yellow Jersey saw over 500 people register to take part in the 18 sessions scheduled from Monday – Thursday.

Content of the week was designed to offer Triathlon England’s clubs and workforce with valuable CPD opportunities from industry experts including Sports Nutritionist Lucy Wainwright, Sports Scientist Dr Natalie Brown and South Central Academy Head Coach

Day one:

The launch of the conference was a keynote with Triathlon England’s CEO Andy Salmon and Paralympic Head Coach Jonathon Riall. Followed by sessions on Coach Females, getting the best out of virtual events and training and mental wellbeing.

Day two:

The second day looked into how to ensure the sport is inclusive delivered by industry expert Jamie Hooper. The session called child Centred Reboot led by Emma Springham, Kate Offord and Dr Liz Scott that explored how to support children and coaches to reboot the sport. British Triathlon Olympic Pathway Manager Dan Salcedo shared his experience on developing young athletes before Wainwright explored the best ways to fuel for racing.

Day three:

Presenting partner Yellow Jersey’s Emily Conrad-Pickles explained how they work with the whole triathlon community. The second session was led by Chris Roberts who explored the best was of making an impact on challenging issues and situations.

Seven League’s Claire Earley and Lenka Istvanova took participants through the ways to build to brilliance on their social media channels. With the final two sessions covering how to be Covid Secure and making Triathlon a Clean Sport.

Day four:

The final day of the week launched with Simon Ward explaining the ways to get the best out of Training Peaks. Salcedo was joined by Paralympic Pathway Manager Alasdair Donaldson to share details on the pathway structure and share future plans.

The last talk of the week was with athlete and coach Mark Buckingham, who has experienced all parts of the sport from competing, guiding for a VI athlete, Olympic training partner to high level coaching.

Across the week there were over 700 engagements with the sessions and all delegates will soon be receiving their exclusive goodie bag.
