We are standing in solidarity with the football and wider sporting community to take a stand against all forms of online abuse and discrimination. From 15:00 on Friday 30 April until 23:59 on Monday 3 May, Triathlon England, British Triathlon and Triathlon Scotland will be joining the social media boycott.
We believe that anyone wanting to take part in any sport should be able to do so in a safe and enjoyable way and we won’t stand for any form of discrimination.
Our stance on the social media boycott is to draw people’s attention to the issue of discrimination and abuse online and the lack of action from social media companies. But we know that more needs to be done and we believe that by joining together we can create more meaningful action and real change. It’s time for proactive action.
