I was absolutely blown away to be nominated for Official of the Year in 2017. The fact that people have taken time to nominate me is amazing. I love officiating as it allows me to give something back to the sport as well as the interaction with participants.

Being a Local Technical Official I am able to help those new to our sport and being able to ensure that all athletes can have a safe and fair playing field on which to compete.

I would certainly recommend people to nominate in the Triathlon England Awards as they recognise volunteers who go beyond to allow people to have a great time in triathlon. These volunteers are the unsung heroes who don’t expect to be recognised but really should be.
