From a children’s swim, bike, run to an American IRONMAN, this weekend has a variety of multisport action on offer.
Oldbury White Horse Children's Triathlon
The juniors take centre stage at Oldbury White Horse Children’s Triathlon as the event in Wiltshire caters for children of all ages to take part in swim, bike, run. Beginning in the 25-metre swimming pool of Calne Leisure Centre, participants will then transition to their bike on the playing fields, complete their cycle on grass and change over to the running leg before crossing the line on the cricket strip.
The varying race distances offered by the event are a 1.5km fun run, TriStar Start (50m swim, 1km bike, 500m run), TriStar 1 (150m swim, 2km bike, 1km run), TriStar 2 (200m swim, 3km bike, 1.5km run), TriStar 3 (250m swim, 4km bike, 2km run) and Youth (250m swim, 5km bike, 2.5km run).
Ashridge Duathlon Standard
Situated in the heart of the rolling hills of Chiltern, this standard distance duathlon at one of the most historically significant landmarks in Hertfordshire is open to all abilities of participants. There will be live commentary on the race’s 10km run, 44km bike and final 5km run as well as food and drink on site.
Trifarm Lockdown Loosener
A lockdown loosener comes in the form of a 400m swim, 18km bike and 3km run for Trifarm in Chelmsford. Aimed to get participants’ seasons going, this is a non-competitive event that sets athletes off individually and gives them the choice of either one or two laps of the swim course. With no ranked results, just a list of timing, this could be the perfect race to ease you into the 2021 season.
IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship St. George
British athletes could have championship ambitions as they take to the start line in Southwestern Utah this weekend. With 250 qualifying slots and 50 Women For Tri slots available for the 2021 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships also set in St. George, this race will be more than competitive, offering insight into the venue of the forthcoming World Championships.
