In this monthly edition of My Rewards we are talking about KitBrix as one of the great benefits and discounts you are entitled to as a Home Nation member.
Finding time to support a lifestyle that lends itself to taking part in 3 sports can be difficult. The time, the stress, the kit and general organisation required can make the life of any dedicated triathlete a fairly busy one.
As such British Triathlon has partnered with KitBrix as the organisation’s the first ever official luggage and transition supplier. With award winning products at the forefront of innovation, KitBrix offers the solution to minimizing the hassle of organizing your kit.
As part of the new partnership Home nation members can take advantage of the exclusive Race Day Bundle for £92 (that's 20% off the RRP)
The Race Day Bundle
The Race Day Bundle, which includes two KitBrix and a Dobipak, is designed with the transition on your event day in mind. The set can be configured for use comfortably as a rucksack, so you are able to be ‘hands-free’ to handle your bike calmly in to transition and are also great for organising your kit for regular training sessions. By using the same bags day in day out, this ensures that you can be fully aware of where all your kit and equipment is come your event. Even in the harshest of conditions, the durability and robustness of KitBrix is such that it will support you, saving you time, easing ‘on the day’ stress allowing you to focus on your race.
Each bag comes with a strap allowing you to connect the Brix in whatever format you wish. Triathletes can use three bags together for training but we recommend 2 bags for most transition areas (in accordance with British Triathlon Transition Rules) to keep wet and dry sections and/or to keep your swimming cycle equipment separate at all times. This combined with our essential DobiPak for all wet kit, wetsuit or muddy trainers post-race. If the Transition Area requires a smaller area of use, simply zip off one bag from another to use as a single module. For Home Nation Members to access this offer, simply log in and follow the instructions in the My Account area.
Of course, the support structure for a dedicated triathlete runs much deeper than the ideal kit bag solution. Triathlon can eat up a large chunk of time for the athlete and family. Supporting a partner or child in this sport takes a huge amount of dedication, and so in many stories it is the unseen supporting family around the triathlete that are the real heroes in any success story.
As part of the latest KitBrix stories series there is a focus on Travis Bramley, a former British Elite Youth Champion returning from a long-term back injury. In an interview with the up and coming triathlete and his family, we find out how he makes the time to balance sport, school and a personal life.
