Published:

The Triathlon England Awards continue to celebrate those that make our sport so welcoming and enjoyable.

This week we’re celebrating Bicester Juniors Tri Club and Nicholas Cull who were named Club of the Year and Technical Official of the Year respectively.

Club of the Year

The Club of the Year award showcases clubs committed to providing every single member with a fantastic swim, bike, run experience and who help to promote the sport and healthy active lifestyles in their communities.

The winner of this year’s Club of the Year is Bicester Junior Tri Club. The club supports children of all ages and abilities to be their best, delivering  sessions to help all members improve. Whether the children aspire to join their regional academy or just want to train to keep active and make new friends, Bicester Junor Tri Club supports them.

The coaches work tirelessly to create a family environment and that results in juniors at the club enjoying the sessions and developing their skills all while being safe and having fun. The coaches’ passion and energy for the sport has not only impacted the participants at the club, it has also rubbed off on the parents. Several have now began volunteering at sessions and have completed the foundation coach course.

Ultimately the club’s commitment and passion for making triathlon inclusive and fun while encouraging children and young people to become more active, made them worthy winners of the 2024 Club of the Year award.

Triathlon England has affiliated clubs across the country offering a wide range of sessions for people of all abilities and ages. Click here to find your local club.

Technical Official of the Year

Technical and Moto Officials are a vital part of our sport and without them we wouldn’t be able to run the full range of fun, safe and inclusive events.

The Technical Official of the Year award celebrates and acknowledges the hard work and dedication of these officials and their role in the triathlon community at all levels of the sport.
