AQUATHLON RACE SERIES 2024 (new medal and start time of 18:30)
This is a beautiful open water race series of events suitable for novices, age group and elite athletes looking for 750m or 1500m distances to practice. It is suitable to set first time PB's, training for mass start swims at a larger event or completing a 1st open water swim. The run is either 2.5k or 5k however if you want to run a shorter distance or a colleague to do the run just tell us.
We welcome beginner options 200m, 400m, with Run 2.5 or 5km and happy to discuss this with you to allow entrants to develop their confidence on a shorter circuit in preparation to enter other events. It is advisable to have had an induction at an open water venue and please ensure you read the section in the race pack about open water swimming.
About the Course
The swim is in Leybourne's large Ocean Lake entry from a jetty into shallow water so you can acclimatise. The run course is on a hard type 1 suited to road or trail shoe.
